Where to use the Lucy Bee Products in your Skincare Routine

Unsure of when to apply your serums, or where exfoliants fit into your skincare routine? We’ve got you covered with this handy graphic, and it might just help answer all your questions!

How to use Lucy Bee Skincare Routine Guide

1. Cleanse

We recommend to cleanse skin both morning and evening. Hydrating Foam Face Wash, Brilliant Balm and Reviving Cleansing Cream all cleanse skin, remove dirt and grime and daily impurities while improving the skin barrier. For makeup removal too, our Brilliant Balm or Reviving Cleansing Cream are the answer.

You can also use these products to double cleanse, want to know more about double cleansing? Click here. We also have a handy blog which explains the difference between these three products here.

2. Exfoliate

After cleansing this is where you use your exfoliants. Exfoliating can help to remove dead skin cells, increase cell renewal, and unclog pores.

For a chemical exfoliant: our Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA, and an enzyme exfoliant which is our Moringa & Pineapple Enzyme Face Mask.

If using just the Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA this can be used both morning and evening. If new to chemical exfoliants it would be worth building up when using it, so start by using once a day.

If using just our Moringa & Pineapple Enzyme Face Mask, we recommend using this once a week and leaving it on for 10-15 minutes.

If using 2 or more types of exfoliants, avoid using these on the same day, this can lead to over exfoliation of the skin and may cause irritation and sensitivity.

When using exfoliants it is especially important and essential to wear SPF daily to protect the skin against UV rays

3. Serums

Serums contain active ingredients in them which have specific benefits to the skin, they absorb quickly into the skin, they are applied after cleansing and exfoliating and before you apply your moisturiser.

Our Vitamin C Illuminating Super Serum can be used both morning and evening (if desired), it contains vitamin C to help brighten and protect the skin and a pearlescent pigment giving an iridescent shimmer which catches the sunlight for an instantly flawless glow.

Our Vitamin A Anti-Ageing Eye Serum can be used both morning and night, and contains a vitamin A alternative (called Vit-A-Like) which helps with the appearance of fine lines and skin firmness.

4. Moisturise

Moisturising using the Radiance-Boosting Face Cream is the last step in the Lucy Bee skincare range routine, and should be done both in the morning and evening. Moisturising your skin helps to keep your skin hydrated and protect your skin from irritation, and environmental damage. Keeping your skin looking fresh and bright!

Optional: Naturally Glowing Self-Tan Drops, for a little extra glow add 3-5 drops to your moisturiser, mix together well and apply to your face and neck, don't forget to apply up to your hairline as well as around your ears. Use as often as you wish.

5. SPF

Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with our SPF 30 Face Serum. It is important to make sure you wear SPF even on cloudy days, opt for one with both UVA and UVB protection and has an SPF of 30 or higher. UV rays are the leading cause for premature skin ageing, as well as skin damage.
