How to Use

Shake before use. Apply generously to the face 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 1-2 hours, and after perspiring, swimming or towelling.

Nice product

I’ve been using the SPF30 drops for years, and absolutely loved the product, super light weight and easy to blend with a moisturiser, and just brightened my skin instantly. I switched to the SPF50 as it was discontinued, and whilst it’s a nice product and I don’t have any major complaints, I can’t help but compare the two and feel that it doesn’t quite give me the same glow and feeling on the skin as the SPF30.

Much preferred the 30 spf texture and the glass pump bottles. Obviously spf 50 is better but a shame that this has completely replaced it.

I was looking for a great spf .As I was lactating , totally looking for a safe option. But I found Lucy bee SPF giving an amazing dewy non greasy light weight and fast absorbing and with out a white cast.
They responded promptly with my queries too. Good customer service.

Lightweight - perfect for oily skin

I usually use Beauty Pie lightweight SPF 50, but wanted to try something where I wasn't tied into a subscription. Tried this and it's now my new fav! Light enough for my oily skin (I work outside 8 hours / day - so this is important!), barely there fragrance, and no animals harmed! WIN! Highly recommend.

Surprised me

I was disappointed that the factor 30 face cream had gone so ordered this instead and it’s fantastic. Extra protection, still as thin and lightweight feeling on my skin. The only thing I miss is the glass bottle and push pump.

This gives the perfect protection for my pale, oily, and sometimes sensitive skin. It doesn’t irritate or leave residue, isn’t greasy and I love wearing it as my daily moisturiser - I don’t need anything else.

East to use every day and gentle on sensitive skin

I’ve got quite sensitive dry skin and this is so easy to use daily and is hydrating enough that I don’t need to use a face cream alongside, it also doesn’t cause any irritation! Would definitely recommend

Amazing Cream

This SPF is amazing! I use SPF daily and prefer to use factor 50 where possible so this stuff is perfect. It really feel like a luxury serum but also protects my skin too!

Sun lotion for face

I have used this as wanted something less harsh but it does seem to be a little drippy in the heat as felt it coming off in the heat but other than that I use it or maybe I had put on too much am not sure

We're sorry to hear it felt a little drippy. With the recent heatwave and very high temperatures, lightweight sunscreen formulas can feel more fluid on the skin, particularly if you're perspiring, which can make it seem as though the product is moving before it has fully settled.

I used the previous SPF religiously and have found it seems pretty much like for like, but I do find that it pills at the end of the day or when I've put on make up but maybe I' just haven't let it set correctly. Either way I didn't experience that before. I do find the formula comes out quicker out of the bottle so just have to be careful with it. It's good and feels similar to the previous serum with more protection.

I was dubious after really liking the old spf30. Although it feels thicker and does have an initial smell, it goes on lovely and feels really moisturising and light when applied. I will be a repeat purchaser. I have to say I preferred the pump bottle, but this is minor and should mean I get every drop out of the tube.

I am always very dubious with a lot of the spf creams as I have used a lot of products which don't rub in to the skin well or leave the skin greasy for sometime after but I can honestly with this it isn't the case , only the smallest amount is needed and again it doesn't have a strong odour.

So different.

Its not the same as the previous spf 30 serum. It smells, has a totally different texture, feels thick and white. The previous serum was so silky, this one is not bad but it feels like a suncream Even the packaging gives a different feel, a tube of suncream as opposed to a lovely skincare serum.

As we had to reformulate this product due to an ingredient becoming unavailable, we carefully reviewed customer feedback to create what we hoped would be a genuinely improved version, including updates to both the formula and packaging. We’ve also had many requests for a higher SPF, and the filter system required to achieve SPF 50 can result in a slightly different texture compared to the previous serum consistency. We appreciate your comments about the feel and finish. Our aim was to balance high protection with a pleasant skincare experience. A fantastic SPF

So pleased with this product, lovely consistency , not too
thick and feels lovely on my skin , rubs in really well.
Plus good to know it’s a 50spf , I’ll only be buying this
from now on !

Pleasant to wear

In contrast to many SPF50 sunscreens, this looks quite natural and elegant after application, and makeup sits nicely on top. I like that it is a simple, unfragranced formula. Definitely an improvement over the previous SPF30 serum by Lucy Bee. I am fussy about SPFs and have been favouring Korean ones for a while, but I'd purchase this again!

Caused a rash

This combined with the hot weather caused a rash on my hands and neck where I had applied it. It seemed almost like an allergic reaction to something rather than skin sensitivity. I can’t remember the last time I had a reaction like this to a skin product so unfortunately not for me.

Prefer the serum

It’s ok but I feel like this is more like a suncream. I preferred the serum and the bottle the serum was in, as this one is plastic. I felt like with this container I used a lot more than was needed and hasn’t lasted long.
Shame they no longer do the old one.

I’m really sorry that they’re not keen on the new SPF 50 and also its tube packaging.

When we were reformulating the SPF, it was a good opportunity for us to review customer feedback on the original product, including wanting an SPF 50 and the packaging, to ensure the SPF 50 was truly a new and improved product for customers.

To achieve an SPF 50 rating, the texture of the product could not be identical to the 30 due to sun filters needed for an SPF 50.

The reason we changed the packaging was actually based on customer feedback from our SPF 30. Some found the glass bottle and pump weren’t as user-friendly as a tube, as well as the fact that the packaging was heavier meaning it wasn’t always ideal for carrying around with them eg taking to work to reapply during the day, or when travelling and going on holiday. Some customers also commented that they’d dropped the bottle when out and about, and it had smashed, which isn’t ideal when using around a pool for example.

Taking all feedback into account, we decided to opt for a recyclable tube, with its lighter weight and ease of use.
As with all products, the packaging was also tested for compatibility and evacuation, all of which passed as suitable for the formulation.

By far my favourite SPF I've tried. It's lightweight, absorbs easily into the skin and doesn't look or feel greasy

Love this product!

I used to use the 30 SPF serum and had ran out when I realised that had been changed. I was a bit worried it would be different to the last sunscreen, but I was so pleased to find it was just as good! It's light enough to glide onto the skin but nourishing enough for your skin to feel hydrated. Thanks for a great product!
