Lucy's top tips
Your perfect tan, step by step
1 · The day before
Exfoliate with our Exfoliating Body Mitt to buff away dry skin and any old tan, then shave if applicable, and moisturise.
2 · Dry areas
On tanning day, smooth a small amount of moisturiser over really dry areas like knees, elbows and ankles. Only a little, as it works as a barrier.
3 · Apply
Pump our Self-Tan Mousse onto the mitt and sweep it over your skin in upward motions.
4 · Leftover tan only
Use what's left on the mitt for knees, elbows and feet. Never apply fresh tan to these areas.
5 · Face
Use a little mousse blended with our kabuki blending brush, up to the hairline, or mix our Self-Tan Drops into your moisturiser.
6 · Your back
Lucy's trick: slip the mitt over a wooden spoon, hold it in place with a hairband, and you can reach your whole back.
Rinse after 2 hours for a medium tan, or leave for 6 to 8 hours for a darker colour. Then moisturise daily to help your tan fade evenly.

Will the tan stain my hands?
The mitt has a barrier film on the inside to stop the tan transferring onto your hands.
Which tan should I use it with?
It's made to give you a flawless finish with our Self-Tan Mousse.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, it gives even coverage across your body and face. For more precision on your face, blend with our kabuki blending brush.
How do I tan my knees, elbows and feet?
Use the leftover tan on the mitt, never fresh tan. A small amount of moisturiser on very dry areas beforehand also helps.
How do I wash it?
Hand or machine wash under 30C and air dry. Do not tumble dry, bleach, dry clean or iron.
Do I still need SPF?
Yes. Self-tan doesn't protect against UV, so always use a broad spectrum SPF during the day.
