Here at Lucy Bee, we are all about balance all year round but understand the pressure that a wedding brings. We naturally want to feel our best. Here is a short 6-month lead up plan for achieving radiant, healthy skin for your wedding day.
A well-rounded approach that includes diet, exercise, and skincare can make a huge difference.
6 Months Before
-
Diet: Focus on whole foods, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats.
-
Exercise: Start a regular fitness routine that includes cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises.
-
Skincare: Establish a consistent (Lucy Bee) natural and organic skincare routine - cleanse, exfoliate, moisturise, and apply SPF daily.
4 Months Before
-
Diet: Add more antioxidants through berries, leafy greens, and green tea to support skin health. Drink 2-3 litres of water daily.
-
Exercise: Increase workout intensity gradually. Yoga and meditation can help manage stress.
-
Skincare: Consider adding serums with vitamin C for brightness and hyaluronic acid for hydration. Our Vitamin C Face Serum works well as a primer for your big day too, giving an additional glow to the skin with its inclusion of a natural pearlescent pigment.
2 Months Before
-
Diet: Stay hydrated and keep up on your fluids, add fruit/herbs to your water to give it flavour. Reduce processed foods, sugar, and excessive caffeine.
-
Exercise: Maintain your routine. Focus on activities that make you feel confident and strong.
-
Skincare: Schedule professional facials if viable or at-home treatments like masks and exfoliation to enhance skin texture. Our Moringa and Pineapple Enzyme Mask gently exfoliates, brightens, and helps with the overall complexion. Facial massage is a must – it helps with lymphatic draining which helps move toxins to lymph nodes, helps with bloating and water retention.

-
Skincare: Finalise your skincare products. Avoid introducing new products to prevent unexpected reactions.

-
Diet: Eat balanced meals rich in vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and complex carbs. Limit salty foods to avoid bloating and processed sugars.
