mother and baby award pregnancy safe eye cream

Our Organic Retinol Alternative Anti-Ageing Eye Cream has been shortlisted in the Mother & Baby Awards 2026 for Best New Mum / Maternity Skincare Product, you can read more about this here.

What makes our Eye Cream so great?

The Lucy Bee Eye Cream which is a serum consistency so not heavy under the eyes helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles whilst hydrating and repairing the skin. It will condition, replenish and protect the delicate eye area.

Retinol Alternative

The key ingredient is a botanical alternative to retinol that doesn’t cause redness or irritation. It has data studies which give the benefits of retinol by reducing the signs of ageing by stimulating cell renewal and collagen synthesis and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Safe to Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Our Eye Cream has been independently reviewed as safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, which means that you can confidently include it in your skincare routine.

Common changes to the skin during pregnancy

Sensitivity and Sensitive Skin

Changes during pregnancy may cause you to become prone to sensitivity, irritation or redness. This can be caused by a weakened skin barrier, which causes your skin to be prone to be more reactive.

With sensitivity it’s best to
  • Choose fragrance free products
  • Pick formulations that hydrate, nourish, protect and restore the skin
  • Avoid harsh essential oils or actives
The majority of the Lucy Bee skincare range has been dermatologically tested and approved suitable for sensitive skin, as well as being free from any harsh fragrances or essential oils.

Our Reviving Cleansing Cream, Radiance-Boosting Face Cream and SPF 30 Face Serum are all great options for those with sensitive skin due to their hydrating, soothing and protecting properties.

All the Lucy Bee products are created using ingredients that are kind to sensitive skin, whilst also providing visible results.

Breakouts

Fluctuations in hormones causes an increase in blemishes and breakouts.

Tip:

  • Use gentle liquid exfoliants like AHAs or PHAs
Our Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA is gentle enough to use daily, but powerful enough to help exfoliate away dead skin cells, excess sebum and help minimise the appearance of pores, leaving skin clearer and brighter.

Alternatively, our Enzyme Face Mask uses pineapple enzymes and pink clay to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores and draw out impurities. It can be used 1-2 times a week as a mask.

Dryness and Itchy Skin

Hormones can also cause a decrease in oil production in the skin, leading it to become dehydrated, drier and itchier than usual.

Look for products that:
  • Help to both provide and lock moisture into the skin. Read our blog on different types of moisturisers and their roles in skin health here
All of the Lucy Bee range has been formulated to hydrate and lock moisture into the skin for long-lasting hydration.
For your body, our Organic Coconut Oil is excellent for massaging into the skin, or our Hydra-Bod Body Cream contains squalane to help seal moisture into the skin for extra hydration.

Customer Testimonials, Why mums are choosing Lucy Bee skincare

"I have very sensitive skin, which is worse due to pregnancy hormones. As you can see from the first photos my skin looks red, sore and angry! Since being pregnant I have tried so many sensitive products, all of which just made my face sting and hurt! I even had prescription medication, which made it worse!

Your Radiance-Boosting Face Cream, Exfoliating Tonic and Reviving Cleansing Cream have literally been a game changer for me. Super nourishing, no nasties and my skin is finally calming down. More importantly I don’t feel conscious about it."
- Siobhan

My skin looks and feels so much more radiant and blemish free. I use far less makeup (foundation) than I used to.
I'm currently pregnant and Lucy Bee has not failed to keep my new hormonal skin looking great. If you're not sure on trying something new, try the core collection at first to give it a try, I assure you, you won't regret it!
 – Leanne

Best moisturiser! My skin feels so good since using this moisturiser.
Love that it’s pregnancy safe. The thickness of it is just perfect.”

pregnancy safe skincare that hydrates and nourishes
Love it! Since being pregnant my skin has been horrid.
I have been using the face wash for the last few weeks and I have noticed a massive difference. My skin feels fresher in the morning rather than a shammy leather.”
Gemma

Best switch of skincare decision ever!
I started with the tan as I was feeling rubbish about my body whilst pregnant. Doing 1 tan a week really lifted my mood and made me feel fab, especially as I know it was pregnancy safe!
Since my daughter arrived 5 weeks ago, I am obviously tired, but having switched to using all of the range: face wash, cleanser, tonic, face serum, vitamin A eye cream, face cream, tanning drops and SPF, everyone keeps telling me how fab I look and how great my skin is and how 'not tired' I look.
Trust me my 5-week-old baby is not a magic sleeper, so it is all the Lucy Bee products working their magic.
– Kate

pregnancy safe fake tan products
I’m currently pregnant and wanted a tan that was a bit more natural and not full of chemicals. I’m so impressed.
Such a natural colour and I love that I can wash it off after a couple of hours and have a healthy tan.
When I wear it plus the tan drops on my face, I get told I look glowing and healthy despite the pregnancy insomnia! So, it’s obviously working!”
Emily

Thirst quenchingly good. I love using Lucy Bee products and they have made my once dry post-pregnancy skin much more soft and smooth!
I love using this tonic especially in the evenings as it’s nice and cooling and feels like such a treat for my skin!

"I have been suffering with the WORST pregnancy eczema.
You name it, I had it- large red, itchy, dry patches and this was all over my face, how annoying!!
I felt so self conscious but hated covering it with tonnes of foundation. I decided to give your range a try and I am so pleased to say how good it felt!
skincare that soothes pregnant skin
This was the only brand I tried that didn’t irritate or sting when using the products and offered such a welcome relief!
I especially love how soothing the face cream was. I am now able to go make up free most the time (pictured) and have even had comments on my skin!"
