How often should I use this eye serum?
We recommend incorporating it into your routine every day.
Is the Vitamin A Anti-Ageing Eye Serum suitable for use in pregnancy and when breastfeeding?
Yes, our Eye Serum has been independently reviewed by a cosmetic safety assessor and has been approved safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In our eye serum we use a vitamin A alternative called Vit-A-Like™. This has similar beneficial effects to retinol, such as improving skin firmness and anti-ageing, but without the irritation that some people experience with retinol. We’ve had Vit-A-Like™ tested and checked and it is not an endocrine disruptor, which means as an ingredient it is not classified as a damaging ingredient. We would always recommend referring to your GP or health practitioner if in doubt.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Our Vitamin A Anti-Ageing Eye Serum has been dermatologically approved for sensitive skin by an independent testing house. Everyone’s skin is different however, and as is the case when using any new product, we recommend doing a small patch test before using this to check that it suits your skin.
Where should I use it in my skincare routine?
You should use your Eye Serum just before your final creams in your night-time skincare routine. If using in the morning, you should use it just before moisturising and/or SPF!
The Eye Serum feels warm when I apply it. Is this normal?
Yes, this is completely normal. Due to the actives in the formulation, you may feel a slight warming sensation, tingling or tightening. If you can’t feel anything, don’t worry – the serum will still be working its magic.
Is Vit-A-Like™ the same as retinol?
Vit-A-Like™ is a retinol alternative. Retinol is often used as the benchmark for anti-ageing treatments, but it can be irritating on the skin meaning it isn’t great for people with sensitive skin. Vit-A-Like™ has proven effects similar to retinol but with a better tolerance for sensitive skin and much better stability. Vit-A-Like™, much like retinol, helps cell renewal and reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and this is why we’ve chosen to use this ingredient in our anti-ageing Vitamin A Eye Serum.
Can teenagers use this Eye Serum
This product has been formulated for anti-ageing so we would recommend it for customers who are concerned about ageing. However, it does contain natural ingredients but has not been tested on teenagers but if they wish to use it they can. As with introducing any new product, we would recommend doing a patch test first.
Does this product contain alcohol?
No it doesn’t contain alcohol. In the cosmetic world, when a product states that it is “alcohol free” it is referring to the formulation being free from Alcohol Denat / Ethanol (ethyl alcohol), which Vitamin A Anti-Ageing Eye Serum is free from.
All other types of alcohol such as fatty alcohols (cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, etc.), preservatives such as Benzyl Alcohol should not be taken into consideration in this respect. Lucy Bee uses benzyl alcohol in some products. This is a broad-spectrum preservative system (it means it protects against bacteria, yeast and fungi) for personal care (combined to dehydroacetic acid). It meets COSMOS Organic standard and is effective in a wide pH range.
When should I do a patch test?
When using any new product we recommend doing a patch test first. See here for how to patch test.
How should I store this?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
Which ingredient is the Vitamin A?

Does this have added fragrance?
We’ve formulated this product with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be.

Apologies, if we haven’t responded prior to this but we haven’t received any messages from you. If you ever have any questions the best place to contact us is via email hello@lucybee.com or via social media ☺ This isn’t something that we have ever had in feedback for the eye serum, but you are fine to use it just in the evening and will still get beneficial effects from the ingredients. I hope this helps, Daisy
Hi I have asked before but no response .. I find I can only use the eye serum at night because if I use it in morning it makes even my water proof mascara run so I get black eyes … has anyone else had this problem ? So only using once a day am I getting true benefits …?
