What is it?

Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract is an extract from the root of the turmeric plant. Usually we see turmeric being used in cooking, but you can also find it in skincare products.

How does it help my skin?

One of the main components of turmeric which we focus on is curcumin.  This is what gives turmeric its bright yellow colour. Curcumin is an antioxidant which means that it can help protect the skin from oxidative damage, and also environmental damage. Turmeric extract has been found to be useful for anti-ageing due to containing antioxidants as its helps to decrease the depth of wrinkles. It also helps to even skin tone, contains anti-inflammatory properties and can help calm the skin and reduce redness, and make the skin look radiant, giving you that desired natural glow.
