Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA, 100ml
Our tonic (toner) includes 5 natural botanical extracts, which are known as AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) - Lactic Acid (Bilberry), Citric Acid (Orange and Lemon), Glycolic Acid (Sugar Cane), Malic Acid and Tartaric Acid (Sugar Maple), and a gentle PHA (polyhydroxy acid) gluconolactone, which work together to remove dead skin cells, enhance cell renewal and provide moisture to the skin.   
- Gently exfoliates and moisturises with hyaluronic acid 
- Increases cell renewal which helps with the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, pores, dull and tired-looking skin

Reviving Cleansing Cream Benefits 

Our Cleansing Cream is hydrating.
Sensitive Skin:

Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA Benefits

Enhance the skin's complexion by gently exfoliating and boosting cell renewal. This tonic will leave the skin looking and feeling hydrated, brighter, smoother and clearer.  AHAs & PHAs work together to remove dead skin cells, enhance cell renewal and provide moisture to the skin.   
Sensitive Skin:

When using the Tonic, tingling may occur and this is the ACB Fruit Mix and Lactic Acid working their magic and tightening and closing the pores.

Radiance-Boosting Face Cream Benefits

Our Face Cream is a hydrating antioxidant powerhouse, containing vitamin E.
Sensitive Skin:

• Dermatologically approved for sensitive skin
• Formulated without petroleum, silicones, alcohol, Formaldehyde, PEGs, Sulphates, Artificial Dyes
• Aloe Vera - soothes and hydrates
• Coconut Oil - acts as an effective moisturiser 
• Cocoa Butter - is well-known as beneficial for dry skin and delicate skin, and a natural antioxidant
• Shea Butter – superior moisturiser and protectant
• Calendula Oil – excellent for soothing and moisturising dry and chapped skin
• Apricot Oil – rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins with antioxidant benefits to help repair and rejuvenate tired, dull-looking skin

• Arnica Infused – astringent and stimulating
• Bisabolol – skin-protecting against daily environmental stress

No Added Fragrance 

We’ve formulated these products with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be.

 

How To Use

Reviving Cleansing Cream:
Rub the cleansing cream in damp hands and massage onto face and neck, then gently remove with our dampened Muslin Cloth. Repeat morning and evening as part of your daily skincare routine.
Removes makeup, including waterproof mascara.
Once opened, use within 12 months.
We’ve used an aluminium tube for this product because of its environmentally-friendly properties ie it can be easily recycled time and time again.

Something to note with aluminium is that it can soften and break if creased so we recommend squeezing from the end to get the product out, keeping the tube flat and smooth.

Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA
After cleansing, apply Tonic to cotton wool and wipe gently over dry skin morning and night.
Tingling and redness may occur for up to 30 minutes after use, this is the natural AHAs working their magic on the skin.
With AHAs, your skin may need to adapt to the product, so build-up the usage of it if you feel that your skin is very sensitive.
If persistent irritation occurs, discontinue use.

When using products like AHAs including our Exfoliating Tonic it is important and essential to wear SPF daily to protect the skin against UV rays. This AHA & PHAs Exfoliating Tonic is a liquid exfoliant which introduces new skin to the surface helping with the overall appearance of skin. Once opened use within 12 months.

Radiance-Boosting Face Cream:
Gently massage a small amount of moisturiser onto clean, dry skin. Repeat morning and evening as part of your daily skincare routine.
We recommend using an SPF with this product.
Once opened, use within 12 months.
Avoid getting any of the products into your eyes and if they do enter your eyes, rinse well with warm water. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Palm Oil

The majority of our collection is 100% palm oil–free, including all its derivatives. Caring for the environment is at the heart of everything we do, and avoiding palm oil wherever possible has been one of our proudest achievements.

In a few select formulations, we now use RSPO-certified (Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil) ingredients. As a small, independent brand, this allows us to maintain product performance and stability while ensuring that any palm oil we do use supports sustainable and ethical production practices.

Our goal remains the same, to create effective, environmentally responsible skincare with complete transparency. We use RSPO palm oil that is approved by Soil Association, these standards ensure certified palm oil producers:

• protect, conserve and enhance ecosystems and the environment

• behave legally, ethically and transparently

• respect human rights and the rights of local communities and smallholders

FAQs

• Is the range suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Yes, we’ve had these products tested by an independent testing house and they have confirmed that they are suitable for sensitive skin.
With our Exfoliating Tonic, due to the AHAs in it, you may feel tingling and redness when you first start using the product. If your skin is sensitive, dampen a cotton pad before applying the product, or use once a day so that your skin can adapt.
Everyone’s skin is different however, so we recommend doing a small patch test before using this to check that it suits your skin.

• Is the range unisex?

Yes it is! Trialled and tested on men and women.

• Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured in the UK.

• Do the products have a fragrance?

We’ve formulated these with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be. You will still get a hint of the natural aroma of the ingredients used, which is perfectly normal as we have not deodorised the ingredients.

• Can my child/teenager use Lucy Bee skincare products?

Our Reviving Cleansing Cream and Radiance-Boosting Face Cream are suitable for children over 9 and teens. We do not advise our Exfoliating Tonic for children. For teens with problematic skin, you can use this product on the area of concern, dampen the cotton pad with water, apply the tonic, then use on the area once a day in the evening. • Does your skincare range contain palm oil?

No. Every Lucy Bee product is free from gluten as Lucy herself is a coeliac.

• Is the range certified Vegan?

Yes, the entire range has been approved by the Vegan Society.

• Is the range certified Cruelty Free?

Yes, the entire range has been approved by Cruelty Free International (Leaping Bunny).

• Is the range certified Organic?

Yes, the majority of the range has been approved by the Soil Association as COSMOS Organic.

• Is the skincare range certified Fair Trade?

We’re passionate about the ethics and value of Fair Trade and where possible, we always buy Fair Trade ingredients. With our skincare range, unfortunately it hasn’t been possible for us to be able to include sufficient Fair Trade ingredients to allow these to be certified Fair Trade. Where applicable, we use our own Lucy Bee Fair Trade ingredients eg. Coconut Oil.

• Is the packaging recyclable?

We have done everything we possibly can to make sure our packaging is recyclable. The majority of the range is made from glass and aluminium so that everything can be recycled.

• Is everything paraben free?

Yes, the entire range is free from parabens.

• Do these products contain alcohol?

In the cosmetic world, when a product states that it is “alcohol free” it is referring to the formulation being free from Alcohol Denat / Ethanol (ethyl alcohol), which our Radiance-Boosting Face Cream, Reviving Cleansing Cream and Exfoliating Tonic are free from.
All other types of alcohol such as fatty alcohols (cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, etc.), preservatives such as Benzyl Alcohol should not be taken into consideration in this respect. Lucy Bee uses benzyl alcohol in some products. This is a broad-spectrum preservative system (it means it protects against bacteria, yeast and fungi) for personal care (combined to dehydroacetic acid). It meets COSMOS Organic standard and is effective in a wide pH range.

• Do any of the products contain SPF?

The products in the Core Collection do not contain SPF. We have our 2-in-1 Hydrating Face Serum with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 here. SPF helps to prevent future signs of skin damage. Protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays all year round with our broad spectrum, lightweight, silky SPF 30 sunscreen. This is fragrance free, suitable for sensitive skin and has a dewy, sheer finish with no white cast, and is suitable for all skin tones. Certified Vegan and Cruelty Free and 100% Palm Oil Free and made in the UK, With the inclusion of hyaluronic acid, this deeply hydrates the skin which means it can be used on its own, after moisturiser and looks great under makeup.

• Are your products tested on animals?

Absolutely not. Our products are all certified by the Vegan Society and by Cruelty Free International who both ensure that animal testing is not carried out.

• How should I store my products?

We recommend storing your skincare products in a cool, dry cupboard. We also recommend washing hands before using the products to avoid contamination, especially the face cream where you are dipping your hands into the product.

• How long will my products last?

Once opened, they have a shelf life of 12 months.

• Are your products suitable for eczema sufferers?

Everyone is different so we wouldn’t like to say that they are definitely suitable for every eczema sufferer.
The range has been approved as suitable for sensitive skin so the ingredients are very gentle. However, if you are worried about using the products then we recommend trying a small patch test first before using properly.

• I have acne, should I use your products?

Obviously everyone’s skin is very different so people may have different reactions to things. The range is hydrating and if you have concerns then we recommend doing a small patch test before using the products properly.

• How can I share my testimonial with you?

• Can I return my packaging to you to be recycled?

Unfortunately, we don’t have the capabilities to do this just yet. As we grow, we hope to be able to offer it. Until we can, you can recycle the majority of the packaging in your household recycling.

• Are your products safe to use during pregnancy? 

Our Radiance-Boosting Face Cream, Exfoliating Tonic and Reviving Cleansing Cream are all safe to use if pregnant. 

• Do these products contain nuts?

Our Exfoliating Tonic does not contain nuts. Our Radiance-Boosting Face Cream and Reviving Cleansing Creams DO contain nuts (almond) and are not suitable for those with nut allergies.

• When should I do a patch test?

When using any new product we recommend doing a patch test first. See here for how to patch test.

• Are these products suitable if I have rosacea?

The range has been dermatologically approved for sensitive skin and has anti-inflammatory properties such as turmeric, which helps with reducing redness. The range also contains aloe vera, coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and apricot oil which are all very soothing, nourishing, hydrating and skin-boosting due to the antioxidant properties.

Lucy suffers from mild rosacea on her cheeks and one of the other team members suffers more seriously with it and they have found the products have really suited their skin and have helped to calm and soothe it. It has also helped to keep the skin hydrated and it doesn’t trigger them to flare up or cause any irritation.
The range will help with hydration but of course everyone’s skin is different and if you have any concerns, we recommend doing a patch test first.
