The Story Behind Lucy Bee 

Hi, I’m Lucy, the person behind the brand’s name. We are a UK-based, privately-owned family business and it was named Lucy Bee because I was diagnosed coeliac at 18 months old, which meant my parents had to completely change the way we ate.

They had to constantly check labels and cooking from scratch became the norm in our house. This naturally made us interested in our health and wellbeing from the inside out.  lucy with organic coconut oil

We originally started with our organic, fair trade Coconut Oil in 2012.

We soon added to our range to include products which we love and use for a healthy and natural lifestyle, always following our ethical principles of organic and fair trade ingredients where possible, working with like-minded suppliers, who support our values.

Organic and Natural Skincare 

I am a CIBTAC Beauty Therapist and have always been interested in not only what I put into my body but also what I put onto it.

Working in spas and salons meant I was introduced to many different products and all sorts of ingredients. It made me realise what was actually in a lot of products we use and to question the fact that these were being absorbed into my body, through my skin.

I started to create my own products, and I loved the fact that I knew exactly what I was putting on my skin and that the products were completely natural. 

This passion for creating skincare led to the development of our skincare range which we launched in 2020.

The range has been formulated to support the skin barrier and enhance the complexion, whilst also maintaining our ethics.

Lucy Bee Wellness Range

 Lucy bee wellness range formulated to help your inside and out

I created this range for everyone who feels they need a little extra support - for the mind, gut, immunity and skin. For those who want to feel their best inside and out.  

I’ve always had sensitive skin and being a coeliac has meant I have had to be especially mindful about what I put into my body. That awareness has shaped how I think about health. 

Becoming a mum to two little ones, working and keeping up with general life and a social life often left me feeling completely depleted at times. Tired, low in energy, struggling with brain fog and just not feeling like myself.  

I’ve recently celebrated my 35th birthday so more than ever I’m focusing on longevity and feeling and looking my best from the inside out.  

During the postpartum period, I started looking deeper into how gut health, hormones, and daily nutrition were all connected. I already knew a lot about this but delving deeper, I wanted to support myself through the times I needed it the most.

I used to go to a smoothie shop in my local town, which included mushrooms and other ingredients in their smoothies, and this encouraged me to start creating more smoothies again. Blending, testing, and creating my own blends. 

These became my daily go-to. I loved how I felt, knowing I was having lots of extra goodness to nourish my body.  

This is where Lucy Bee Wellness was born.

Every product has been developed with my sister Daisy ANutr (our in-house registered associate nutritionist) and are designed to support your body from within - your gut, your hormones, your energy, so you can feel good and look your best, even in the busiest, most demanding phases of life. 

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about giving your body the support it needs. 

Because when you feel better on the inside, it shows.
