Is Reviving Cleansing Cream suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Yes, we’ve had this product tested by an independent testing house and they have confirmed that it is suitable for sensitive skin. However, we are all different so we recommend doing a small patch test before using to check that it suits your skin. 

 

Does this have added fragrance?

We’ve formulated this with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be. You will still get a hint of the natural aroma of the ingredients used, which is perfectly normal as we have not deodorised the ingredients.

 

Can my child/teenager use Reviving Cleansing Cream?

Our Reviving Cleansing Cream is suitable for children over 9 and teens. We would advise starting slowly with such young skin and if you have any concerns we would recommend talking to a doctor or dermatologist. Does this product contain alcohol? 

In the cosmetic world, when a product states that it is “alcohol free” it is referring to the formulation being free from Alcohol Denat / Ethanol (ethyl alcohol), which our Reviving Cleansing Cream is free from.

All other types of alcohol such as fatty alcohols (cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, etc.), preservatives such as Benzyl Alcohol should not be taken into consideration in this respect. Lucy Bee uses benzyl alcohol in some products. This is a broad-spectrum preservative system (it means it protects against bacteria, yeast and fungi) for personal care (combined to dehydroacetic acid). It meets COSMOS Organic standard and is effective in a wide pH range.

 

How should I store this?

We recommend storing your Reviving Cleansing Cream in a cool, dry cupboard. We also recommend washing hands before using the product to avoid contamination.

 

How long will this product last?

Once opened, this has a shelf life of 12 months.

 

Is Reviving Cleansing Cream suitable for eczema sufferers?

Everyone is different so we wouldn’t like to say that this is 100% for every eczema sufferer.

Reviving Cleansing Cream has been approved as suitable for sensitive skin so the ingredients are very gentle. However, if you are worried about using the products then we recommend trying a small patch test first before using properly.

 

What’s the difference between the Hydrating Foam Cleanser, Reviving Cleansing Cream & Brilliant Balm?

Texture: Solid balm

Skin Loving Benefits: Helps with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin suppleness, soothes and nourishes, rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, melts away even the most stubborn makeup & daily impurities  

Key Ingredients: Squalane, apricot kernel oil, jojoba, grapeseed & rosehip oils 

Scent: Unscented  

Hydrating Foam Face Wash  

Texture: Silky foam 

Skin Loving Benefits: Boosts hydration & retains skin moisture, improves skin elasticity, soothes and calms, strengthens skin barrier & protects against irritation, cleanses the skin from daily impurities  

Key Ingredients: Ginseng, rose flower water, calendula, natural betaine, glycerin 

Scent: slight floral scent from the rose flower water (otherwise no other fragrance!)  

I have acne/prone to breakouts, should I use Reviving Cleansing Cream?

Obviously everyone’s skin is very different so people may have different reactions to things. Our Reviving Cleansing Cream is hydrating and if you are worried then we recommend doing a small patch test before using the products properly.

 

Is Reviving Cleansing Cream suitable to use in pregnancy?

Yes, Reviving Cleansing Cream is suitable to use in pregnancy. If you have any concerns we advise checking with your healthcare practitioner.

 

Is Reviving Cleansing Cream suitable if I have rosacea?

Reviving Cleansing Cream has been dermatologically approved for sensitive skin and has anti-inflammatory properties such as turmeric, which helps with reducing redness.

This also contains aloe vera and coconut oil which are soothing, nourishing, hydrating and skin-boosting due to the antioxidant properties.

Lucy suffers from mild rosacea on her cheeks and one of the other team members suffers more seriously with it and they have found this product has really suited their skin and have helped to calm and soothe it. It has also helped to keep the skin hydrated and it doesn’t trigger them to flare up or cause any irritation.

The range will help with hydration but of course everyone’s skin is different and if you have any concerns, we recommend doing a patch test first.

 

What is this formulated without?

Our Reviving Cleansing Cream does NOT contain: Palm Oil (including derivatives of palm oil); Petroleum; Silicones; Alcohol; Formaldehyde; PEGs; Sulphates; Artificial Dyes; Soy; Gluten; Parabens

What's the difference between the Reviving Cleansing Cream and Hydrating Foam Face Wash?

The two products are both very different, our Reviving Cleansing Cream is a cream cleanser which you remove with a muslin cloth. The Face Wash is a foam face wash which you wash off with just water and doesn’t require a muslin cloth.

Reviving Cleansing Cream – removes makeup, dirt, grime SPF, use as first part of your cleansing routine

Face Wash – use on its own if wearing little to no make-up, or as the second cleanse (after Brilliant Balm or Reviving Cleansing Cream), removes dirt grime, and traces of makeup etc. Great in morning when waking, or after gym, etc.

What’s the packaging?

Reviving Cleansing Cream is recyclable packaging:

Aluminium tube - we've used this because of its environmentally-friendly properties, ie. it can be easily recycled time and time again. Something to note with aluminium is that although it's very flexible, it can soften and break if creased and so we recommend squeezing from the end to get the product out, keeping the tube flat and smooth
