FAQ

What tests have been carried out on the SPF 30?

The ISO 24444:2019 in vivo evaluation of the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) which shows our sunscreen is an SPF 30 .

UVA Protection Factor was carried out through the  ISO 24443:2012 in vitro test.  To meet the UVA protection labelling requirements of ISO 24443:2012 the UVA-PF value must be at least ⅓ of the SPF value determined by the ISO 24444:2019 protocol. Ours achieved this and can carry the UVA Logo.

How much SPF should I apply to my face?

Most SPF specialists would recommend applying over half a teaspoon to face and neck. Or use the 2 finger rule. If you use less SPF than recommended, you significantly reduce the level of protection.

Where should I apply SPF in my makeup/skincare routine?

SPF should be the last step in your skincare routine, before applying makeup.

What’s the difference between SPF 30 and SPF 50?

SPF measures UVB protection in sunscreens. SPF30 filters out approx. 96.7% of UVB rays, while SPF50 filters out approx. 98% of UVB rays. For UVA protection look for either the UVA logo or star rating.

Perfect

I’ve been using this for about 3 years now and I couldn’t fault it. It feels like a lovely serum, is a great base for makeup and most importantly gives great UV protection. I work outside and have never had any tan or burn using this. I use it year round for protection and just because I love it so much now!

I love this serum! It sinks in beautifully giving me protection with a dewy finish that means I don’t have to put anything else on my face if it want to go make up free. And it’s in a glass bottle 👏

A great serum

The first time I bought this serum, I wasn’t sure it wasn’t for my skin type as I have combination skin and I didn’t feel like i got the radiant results I was expecting.
However, during autumn/ winter, it has become a must have for me. I feel like it really helps my skin in those months and I love that it has spf as it’s something I wouldn’t normally think of in the darker months but is always necessary.

Great sun cream!

I have been using the sun cream for a few months, I think I am on my second bottle. It is amazing! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and silky. It is light and goes beautifully under makeup. My most favourite thing about it is that it is also a moisturiser! Another great Lucy Bee product!!

Streaming eyes

I'm so sorry to say but unfortunately I'm unable to use this product. While I was excited to find a natural SPF and appreciate its pleasant feel on the skin, I unfortunately cannot continue using it.
Shortly after application, my eyes begin to sting and water, and this irritation persists throughout the day until I wash off the product. I have attempted to apply the product away from the eye area, and I have also tried ceasing use for a few days, then a few weeks, to rule out other causes, but the reaction remains consistent.
I am truly disappointed as I had high hopes for this product.

Really hydrating, doesn’t leave any kind of white cast and makes your skin glow! I have tried so many natural SPFs and this is the first one I have loved!
