Why should I use a facial oil?
Facial oils have many benefits for the skin, including hydration, helping the skin barrier, giving your skin a dewy glow and also key ingredients to target specific skin concerns. You can read more about the benefit of using a facial oil here. 

When should I use Facial Oil with Pink Microalgae in my skincare routine? 
This luxurious facial oil can be used either in the evening, or before moisturiser in the morning.

Why Should I Apply the Facial Oil Before My Moisturiser

Our Organic Facial Oil is a light oil and contains lots of ingredients that mimic the natural sebum of our skin (including jojoba oil) and help to protect and rebuild the lipid layer. It is beneficial to apply this before your moisturiser to allow it to sink in and work. It also contains a mixture of antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids that help the skin. The Lucy Bee Radiance-Boosting Face Cream contains a mix of humectants, emollients, and occlusives and can sit on top of the Facial Oil due to this blend, to help hydrate and nourish the skin. 

If you were using an oil-free, or gel or lightweight moisturiser, you may want to consider using the oil after these due to these types of moisturisers being lighter than the oil. 

 
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Facial Oil with Pink Microalgae has been dermatologically approved for sensitive skin. As is the case when using any new product, we recommend doing a patch test first. See here for details. 
  
Is this suitable for use in pregnancy? 
Yes, our Facial Oil with Pink Microalgae has been independently reviewed as safe to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding.  
 
Does this have added fragrance?  
We’ve formulated this product with no added fragrance because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be.

What is pink microalgae?
Dunaliella salina is known as pink microalgae and is known for being adaptable and can survive in harsh natural conditions. It is rich in beta-carotene and has antioxidant benefits.
The inclusion of microalgae in this formulation means that it can help to prevent glycation in the skin. Glycation causes loss of elasticity, wrinkles and pigmentation. It can help to reduce redness, roughness and may help with the appearance of sun spots.

What are some of the other key ingredients 
Squalane which is a natural emollient that helps prevent transepidermal water loss and has a silky skin feel. Nourishing and hydrating ingredients which are rich in antioxidants including Vitamin E, Rosemary Extract, Rosehip and Grapeseed Oils, and Pomegranate and Blackberry Seed Oils. 

How should I store this?  
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.

Palm Oil (and its derivatives); Petroleum; Silicones; Formaldehyde; PEGs; Sulphates; Artificial dyes; Soy; Gluten; Parabens.
