With sunshine and warmer weather, the Summer is the perfect time to enjoy being outside. However, these months can be harsh on your skin, due to increase in temperatures and sun exposure. Due to the humidity and heat, it can lead to increased water loss from the skin, and oil glands may become more productive leading to an increase in oiliness. It's important to look after your skin during these months to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.
Cleanse
Warmer weather means increase in sweating, wearing SPF and being outside more means that cleansing both morning and evening are important steps to keeping skin clean and happy. When it comes to cleansing, opt for a cleanser which is hydrating and won't strip the skin of its natural oils. Gentle Exfoliation
Using a gentle chemical liquid exfoliant helps to keep skin smoother and clearer, helping to remove dead skin cells, dirt and grime as well as excess oil. Our Exfoliating Tonic with AHA & PHA contains a powerful yet gentle blend of chemical exfoliants. With hyaluronic acid and aloe vera to hydrate and soothe the skin whilst the chemical exfoliants work their magic. If using an exfoliant is it vital that you use an SPF.

Protect Your Skin from UV Rays
Sunscreen should be worn all year round, however it's a must-have in your summer skincare routine. All year round UVA ray levels stay the same, but during the summer months UVB ray levels increase. Using sunscreen helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays which can cause sunburn, premature skin ageing, skin damage and even skin cancer.
Summer is the season where we are exposed to the sun for longer periods of time due to the weather, and so staying on top of your sun protection is key. Opt for an SPF 30 or higher, an SPF 30 blocks 97% of the sun's UVB rays. Look for a sunscreen which offers UVA protection either with the UVA circle logo or star rating.

Hydration
One of the most important things you can do for your skin in the summer is to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Dehydrated skin can lead to dryness, flakiness, and even premature aging.
