Radiance-Boosting Face Cream FAQ

Published

Does the Radiance-Boosting Face Cream contain SPF?

Radiance-Boosting Face Cream does not contain SPF. We have our SPF 50 Face SunscreenΒ available which offers both UVA and UVB broad spectrum protection.

We recommend you wear SPF sunscreen with Radiance-Boosting Face Cream and it is essential to wear an SPF with our AHAs & PHA Exfoliating Tonic, due to the AHAs & PHAs in the product, like our SPF 50 Face Sunscreen.

Β

Is Radiance-Boosting Face Cream suitable for people with sensitive skin?

Yes, this product has been independently tested and reviewed by a dermatologist and is dermatologically approved for sensitive skin. It contains turmeric which helps to even skin tone and reduce redness, as well as other hydrating and soothing ingredients.

Everyone’s skin is different however, so we recommend doing a smallΒ patch testΒ before using this to check that it suits your skin.

Β

Does this have added fragrance?

We’ve formulated this withΒ no added fragranceΒ because we understand how sensitive some skin types can be. You will still get a hint of the natural aroma of the ingredients used, which is perfectly normal as we have not deodorised the ingredients.

Can my child/teenager use Radiance-Boosting Face Cream?

Radiance-BoostingΒ Face Cream is suitable for children over 9 and teens. We would advise starting slowly with such young skin and if you have any concerns we would recommend talking to a doctor or dermatologist. When using any newΒ product,Β we recommend doing a patch test first. SeeΒ hereΒ for how to patch test.Β

Does Radiance-Boosting Face Cream contain alcohol?Β

In the cosmetic world, when a product states that it is β€œalcoholΒ free” it is referring to the formulation being free fromΒ AlcoholΒ Denat / Ethanol (ethylΒ alcohol), which our Radiance-Boosting Face Cream is free from.

All other types ofΒ alcoholΒ such as fattyΒ alcohols (cetearylΒ alcohol, cetylΒ alcohol, etc.), preservatives such as BenzylΒ AlcoholΒ should not be taken into consideration in this respect.Β Lucy Bee uses benzyl alcohol in some products. ThisΒ is a broad-spectrum preservative system (it means it protects against bacteria, yeast and fungi) for personal care (combined to dehydroacetic acid). It meets COSMOS Organic standard and is effective in a wide pH range.

Β

How should I store this product?

We recommend storing Radiance-Boosting Face Cream in a cool, dry cupboard. We also recommend washing hands before using the products to avoid contamination, especially the face cream where you are dipping your hands into the product.

Β

How long will this product last?

Once opened, this has a shelf life of 12 months.

Β

Is Radiance-Boosting Face CreamΒ suitable for eczema sufferers?

Everyone is different so we wouldn’t like to say that this is 100% suitable for every eczema sufferer.

Radiance-boosting Face Cream has been approved as suitable for sensitive skin so the ingredients are very gentle. However, if you are worried about using the products then we recommend trying a smallΒ patch testΒ first before using properly.

I have acne/prone to breakouts, canΒ I use Radiance-Boosting Face Cream?

Obviously everyone’s skin is very different so people may have different reactions to things. This is an hydrating Face Cream and if you are worried then we recommend doing a smallΒ patch testΒ before using the products.

Β

Is Radiance-Boosting Face Cream suitable to use in pregnancy?

Yes, Radiance-Boosting Face Cream is suitable to use in pregnancy. If you have any concerns we advise checking with your healthcare practitioner.

Β

Is Radiance-Boosting Face Cream suitable if I have rosacea?

Radiance-Boosting Face Cream has been dermatologically approved for sensitive skin and has anti-inflammatory properties such as turmeric, which helps with reducing redness.

This also contains aloe vera, coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and apricot oil which are all very soothing, nourishing, hydrating and skin-boosting due to the antioxidant properties.

Lucy suffers from mild rosacea on her cheeks and one of the other team members suffers more seriously with it and they have found the products have really suited their skin and have helped to calm and soothe it. It has also helped to keep the skin hydrated and it doesn’t trigger them to flare up or cause any irritation.

The range will help with hydration but of course everyone’s skin is different and if you have any concerns, we recommend doing aΒ patch testΒ first.

Β
