Why Magnesium Spray?

Magnesium plays a crucial role in muscle function, nerve health and overall wellbeing. Many people use magnesium oil sprays to help with:

  • Muscle cramps and tension
  • Post-workout recovery
  • Relaxation and improved sleep
  • Skin health

While sprays are available, they can sometimes sting or cause irritation, especially for those with sensitive skin. Making your own allows you to control the concentration and ingredients for a gentler experience.

Ingredients You'll Need

  • 100g magnesium chloride flakes (our Magnesium Flakes are 100% Magnesium Chloride)
  • 100g water (choice of distilled, filtered, or tap water)
  • Optional: 3–5 drops of essential oils (lavender or chamomile)
  • Spray bottle

Step-by-Step Instructions

Warm the Water

Heat the water slightly (not boiling) to dissolve the magnesium chloride.

Dissolve Magnesium Flakes

Add 100g magnesium chloride flakes and stir until fully dissolved to form magnesium oil.

Cool and Bottle

Allow the solution to cool, then pour into a spray bottle.

Add Essential Oils (Optional)

Add a few drops of lavender or chamomile oil for a soothing effect. Shake well.

Shake Before Use

Shake before each use as magnesium may settle at the bottom.

How to Use

  • Spray 2–3 times on arms, legs, or feet.
  • Massage gently into the skin.
  • Use once or twice daily.
  • Patch test first to ensure no irritation occurs.

Tips for Sensitive Skin

  • Dilute further: Add extra water if the solution stings.
  • Avoid broken or shaved skin.
  • Moisturise after application to prevent dryness.
  • Choose gentle essential oils like lavender or chamomile.

Creating your own magnesium oil spray allows you to enjoy the benefits of magnesium without the harsh stinging of some products. Perfect for sensitive skin, this DIY spray supports muscle recovery, relaxation and overall wellbeing.
